1280. Jan Roelofse Schenck was born on 10 Feb 1669/70 in L I, Flatlands, West Riding of Yorkshire, New York Colony. In 1698 he lived at Pleasant Valley, Monmouth, New Jersey Colony . He died on 30 Jan 1753 in Pleasant Valley, Monmouth, New Jersey Colony. He was buried in Schenck/Couwenhoven Cemetery, Pleasant Valley (near Holmdel), Monmouth, New Jersey. Re-interment from Schenck-Cowenhoven Cemetery to Holmdel Cemetery.

Jan Roelofse Schenck, II. Son of Roeloff Martense Schenck and Neeltje Gerretse (Van Couwenhoven) Schenck.

He and his brother Gerret left Long Island about 1695 and moved to Pleasent Valley, Monmouth County, New Jersey. Sarah and Jan were first cousins. They were born at the same place.
